FiscalReps, the market leader in Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and VAT services for the global insurance industry, is helping insurance professionals tackle the swathe of tax changes currently sweeping Europe by hosting a series of essential IPT and VAT Forums across the region.
Recently named ‘Tax Advisory Firm of the Year’ at the UK Captive Services Awards 2013, FiscalReps is the leading European supplier of premium tax compliance services. Its European Forums 2013 offer an invaluable opportunity for insurance professionals across the continent not only to bring their taxation knowledge up to date, but also to equip themselves with the skills they need to manage IPT and VAT compliance more effectively within their organisations.
Mike Stalley FCA, Founder and Chief Executive of FiscalReps, says: “IPT and VAT legislation has been undergoing unprecedented levels of change throughout Europe and this is showing no sign of slowing down.
“This year, many governments are choosing to increase their focus on indirect taxation, introducing new taxes or revising tax laws to fund budget shortfalls. As a result, we are seeing significant insurance premium tax and parafiscal tax changes right across the continent.
“It is imperative for insurance businesses to keep pace with these developments to maintain tax compliance,” says Stalley. “Our European Forums provide insurance professionals with the confidence to navigate their way through these challenging legislative waters. Each forum is tailor-made for delegates who want to get to grips with and manage the complexity of IPT and VAT legislation when they transact business across the EU.”
The 2013 European tour, which coincides with FiscalReps’ tenth anniversary year, will touch down in seven European cities. The schedule begins on 16 April with a VAT Mini Forum in London, UK, which is closely followed by an IPT European Forum on 19 April in Dublin, Ireland.
The same month also sees an IPT European Forum on 22 April in Zagreb, Croatia. The city has been added in recognition of Croatia’s accession to the EU this July and the opportunity this provides for insurers to write cross-border business.
The summer leg of the tour includes IPT European Forums in Munich, Germany, presented in German on 21 May, and in Madrid, Spain, on 25 July, this time in Spanish.
The final stage of the tour unfolds with an IPT European Forum in Milan, Italy, to be run in Italian on 27 September. The final IPT European Forum takes place in French on 14 October in Paris, France.
