FiscalReps were delighted to be invited to speak at a local Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) seminar in Guernsey this week. Attending from FiscalReps, Jo Finbow and Karen Jenner presented on the topic Global Risk – Insurance Premium Taxes, offering local captive managers in attendance advice and guidance on premium tax compliance both inside and outside the EU. Peter Hewitt then presented to the same attendees on the topic of VAT on Claims Costs – a very relevant topic for captive managers responsible for handling insurance programmes across multiple jurisdictions. The seminar concluded with networking opportunity and a fabulous lunch at the event. Louise Jackson, President of the local institute and a great host for the event, along with her Aon colleagues, advised that the feedback confirmed the event was a ‘universal success’ and we may be invited back in the future!
Attendees at the event comprised over 35 representatives from many companies on the island including but not limited to Aon, Sydney Charles, Barbican, ARM, Catholic National Mutual Limited, Willis, Artex, Marsh and GFSC.
FiscalReps clients and prospects who are members of AIRMIC, can attend a free seminar on 25 March where Peter Hewitt, Head of VAT, will be hosting a 3 hour session to discuss VAT on Claims Costs. Please visit the AIRMIC website
